Fringe Round Table video interviews - Joshua Jackson

Spoiler alerts! If you haven't seen the finale of Fringe move on! There's nothing to see here.

I dare say it was almost inevitable. Peter never existed + Joshua Jackson was not on the line-up for this years Comic-Con + Joshua Jackson has not quit Fringe =  'surprise' guest on stage at the Fringe panel. And Fox didn't disappoint.  Joshua Jackson appeared, clad in Observer garb dashed on stage and luckily, GeekFilter got a chance to talk to him afterwards.

Would Peter be coming back as an Observer? "I think that  would be a super cool way to bring to the show, but I don't get to make those decisions" Joshua answered. He even said that he would have shaved his head for the con, but that didn't quite get past Fox & Warner Bros. Later in the interview Fringe Executive Producer, Jeff Pinker  popped in to say his farewells and when Joshua mentioned the fans wanted to see him bald replied "You could shave it tomorrow as far as I'm concerned" to which Joshua responded laughingly "He lies! He's a dirty liar!"

When GeekFilter asked how far in advance Joshua was clued into the big reveal of the season finale we learned, "The big reveals was something we worked on together"  "This was one of the rare times where we sort of built the idea together and it was something I was all for."

"To be the culmination of Peter's story it had to be that big"  "It needed to be something to be Fringe, it needed to be big and the most noble sacrifice you can make is to sacrifice yourself for someone that you love and for Peter who had gone from being this completely selfish person it just made sense to me that at the end of this path he would be the exact opposite."

So, you can blame Joshua Jackson for any fears you may have. "If anyone is pissed off that I didn't exist, it's my own damn fault."

Joshua went on to discuss Peter's 'animiamlist' attraction to the Olivia of his universe .

And while all the hub-bub of Comic-Con was going on, Joshua wrapped up the interview with a reminder of the real event taking place, Pacey-Con 2011. "And with that I would like to conclude Pacey-Con 2011, I will see you all back here next year!"

    And we will!
